Free follows Haruka Nanase and the Iwatobi team from school relays to world trials. Season 1 Iwatobi from 2013 runs 12 on club restart, Eternal Summer from 2014 runs 13 on Rin rivalry, and Dive to the Future from 2018 runs 12 on college split. High Speed from 2015 acts as a middle school prequel, while Take Your Marks and the Final Stroke pair close the timeline.
Watch in release order with the prequel in its release spot. The Timeless Medley and Road to the World films recap TV with small new scenes and can be skipped if short on time. The Final Stroke two parter from 2021 and 2022 ends the screen story.

Release order and story order match except High Speed, which rewinds but was built to answer season 2 questions.
