About Future Boy Conan
Future Boy Conan aired from April to October 1978 as a 26 episode Nippon Animation series directed by Hayao Miyazaki, following wild boy Conan from Remnant Island into a world sunk by war. He meets Lana, granddaughter of Dr. Briac, plus Jimsy, Captain Dyce and child engineer Orlo while Industria hunts solar power secrets across seas and deserts.
There is only one series and no sequel film to slot in, so watch episodes 1 through 26 in broadcast order. Early island survival sets up the High Harbor stay, and the late Industria siege pays off when the full crew and flying machines return for the closing reunion.
Good to know
Release order matches story order with no flashback arc to reorder, so one list covers the guide. Start at episode 1 for the Remnant Island setup that powers every later rescue. The middle High Harbor stretch feels gentle on its own but builds the friendships tested in Industria. Treat the 26 episode run as complete, since later Miyazaki works do not continue this story.
