About Gamba
Gamba no Boken aired from April to September 1975 as a 26 episode Tokyo Movie series about city mouse Gamba and friend Bobo sailing to help island mice. The group, including leader Gambos, seer Mamuro and sailor Cheddar, plans against white weasel Noroi and his pack across cliffs, forests and sea caves with real losses along the way.
There is only one series and no TV sequel to slot in, so watch episodes 1 through 26 in broadcast order. Early port recruitment sets up the voyage, and the late island siege lands best when each mouse skill and Noroi scare from the trek stays fresh for the closing fight and quiet return.
Good to know
Release order matches story order with no flashback arc to reorder, so one list covers the guide. Start at episode 1 for the port meeting and voyage setup that powers the island war. The middle training stretch feels gentle alone but explains the tactics used in the finale. Treat the 26 episode run as complete, since film versions retell rather than continue this story.
