About Hyouka
Hyouka follows Houtarou Oreki joining the Classic Literature Club in 2012 with Eru Chitanda, Satoshi Fukube and Mayaka Ibara. The early episodes cover the club room history, the middle stretch covers the school festival film and the Kanya festival mysteries.
The later run closes the festival arc and the Valentine and doll stories, with the OVA What Should Be Had sitting as episode 11.5. Watch TV episodes 1 through 22 in order, then the OVA in its slot or after. The small mysteries chain by character, so order matters more than it looks.
Good to know
Watch TV episodes 1 through 22 in broadcast order, with the OVA as episode 11.5 or after the run. The club history, film project and festival cases build on each member in turn. Kyoto Animation aired the run from April to September 2012 with no sequel since. The novels continue, but the anime stands as a closed set.
