About Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun
Nene Yashiro goes looking for help with a crush and finds Hanako, the Seventh Wonder haunting an old school bathroom. Together with exorcist in training Kou Minamoto, they investigate rumors that turn out to be dangerous apparitions tied to the school. Studio Lerche animates the series, with Masaomi Ando directing season one and Yohei Fukui directing season two for TBS.
Season one aired from January to March 2020 with 12 episodes. Season two aired in two parts in 2025, with 12 episodes from January to March and 12 more from July to September, for 24 episodes total. The manga is still running, so more anime remains possible.
Good to know
Release order is the viewing order for Hanako-kun. Start with season one, then watch both parts of season two in airdate order, since the second cour continues the same arc without a break in story. The short spinoff After-school Hanako-kun is optional comedy and can be watched any time after season one without changing the main plot.
