About Hypnosis Mic
Hypnosis Mic mixes voice drama CDs with anime set in wards where rap battles replace war. Rhyme Anima from 2020 introduces Ikebukuro, Yokohama, Shibuya and Shinjuku divisions across 13 episodes. Rhyme Anima Plus from 2023 adds Osaka and Nagoya and runs 13 more with new songs.
The music CDs came before the anime and hold most character backstory. Watch Rhyme Anima first, then Plus, since the second season assumes the team setups. No film breaks the chain, so two seasons in order cover the animated story so far.
Good to know
There is no separate chronological order worth listing because both seasons follow the same post war rap rule in broadcast order. The CDs add solos and duets that the anime only hints at, so music fans can sample those between seasons. Plus ends without closing the division tournament, and no third season has a date as of this check, so the two season list is complete for now.
