About Jujutsu Kaisen
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 1 ran 24 episodes from October 2020 to March 2021 and covers Yuji Itadori's first year at Tokyo Jujutsu High. Jujutsu Kaisen 0 arrived in December 2021 as a prequel about Yuta Okkotsu, written before the main manga and set a year before Yuji shows up, but released after Season 1.
Season 2 put Gojo and Geto's school years first, then the Shibuya Incident, and Season 3, The Culling Game Part 1, aired 12 episodes from January 8 to March 26, 2026. The manga finished in September 2024, so the anime is now the only place the story still moves.
Season 4, The Culling Game Part 2, was announced the night the Season 3 finale aired and has no date yet.
Good to know
Season 2 begins with four episodes set years before Season 1, which is a flashback, not a reason to reorder anything. Two recap films exist, Hidden Inventory / Premature Death and the 2025 Execution release that previews Season 3 episodes 1 and 2, and both are skippable if you have seen the seasons. Watching Jujutsu Kaisen 0 first is harmless, it just spends the Yuta reveal early. Season 4 was announced on March 26, 2026 with no release date.
