About Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha
Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha starts with nine year old Nanoha Takamachi finding mage Yuuno and befriending rival Fate Testarossa across thirteen episodes in 2004. Nanoha A's from 2005 adds the Wolkenritter across thirteen darker episodes ending in injury. StrikerS from 2007 jumps ten years to a military unit across 26 episodes.
ViVid from 2015 follows adopted daughter Vivio in a tournament arc, with ViVid Strike from 2016 shifting to Rinne. The films Reflection (2017) and Detonation (2018) continue past StrikerS. Movie 1st (2010) and Movie 2nd A's (2012) retell the first runs with new animation and fit as extras.
Good to know
Watch Nanoha then A's then StrikerS before touching ViVid or the Reflection pair, since devices and ranks carry over. The two recap movies replace their TV runs but add new scenes, so veterans can swap them in while newcomers should start with TV. ViVid Strike works as a side entry after ViVid. No new TV run was dated by September 2026, so Detonation stands as the current end.
