About Sailor Moon
The original Sailor Moon aired on TV Asahi from March 7, 1992 to February 8, 1997: five seasons, 200 episodes, plus three theatrical side stories released each December from 1993 to 1995. It stretches Naoko Takeuchi's manga across years, adding filler and reaching its ending before the manga did.
Crystal, the 2014 reboot, tells the same story closer to the page: three short seasons from 2014 to 2016, then four movies, Eternal in January and February 2021 and Cosmos in June 2023, which finish the manga. Nothing new has been announced since Cosmos.
Good to know
Both lists are self-contained, so pick one and finish it. Switching between versions mid-story means watching the same arcs twice with different art and pacing. The 2003 live-action Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon series is a separate retelling and is not listed here, and neither anime has anything announced past 2023.
