About Muv-Luv
Muv-Luv follows human TSF teams against BETA across alternate fronts. Total Eclipse from 2012 runs twenty four episodes with Yui and Cui on test corps. It sets mecha, hive and romance rules.
Schwarzesmarken from 2016 covers East Germany in twelve episodes, while Alternative from 2021 to 2022 adapts Takeru loops across twenty four episodes. No new anime has been dated. Watch Total Eclipse, then Schwarzesmarken, then Alternative, since teams assume the BETA base. Sorties stand alone per front, but BETA and hive rules grow with each show across the mechaverse.
Good to know
Release order works best, since each show assumes BETA and TSF basics from the last. Total Eclipse sets corps and hive raids that later shows reuse. Schwarzesmarken works as a side front after Eclipse. Alternative closes loops that need both fronts first. Start at Total Eclipse for the war rules.
