About Porfi
Porfi follows siblings Porfi and Mina, who lose their parents in an earthquake and trek across Greece seeking their father in America. Nippon Animation aired fifty-two episodes in 2008 with mountain villages and train rides.
Early episodes establish the Patras home loss and the kindly gas station. Middle chapters add the eagle training and the military checkpoints. Later episodes stage the port reunion that closes the journey. The road only moves forward, so skipping ahead hides how the siblings earn help.
Good to know
Watch in broadcast order. The trek only advances from Patras to Patras port return, with helpers returning without reintroduction. There is no sequel in continuity. New viewers can sample road kindness, yet the reunion lands better after seeing the full wartime buildup. Listen for train whistles that mark each new leg.
