About Re-Main
Re-Main follows Minato Kiyomizu, a former middle-school water polo star who loses three years to an accident and restarts as a beginner in high school. With Eitaro, Jo and Chinu, he rebuilds the Yamanami team from splashing basics. MAPPA aired twelve episodes in 2021.
Early episodes establish Minato's lost drives and the strict captain Ejiri. Middle chapters add the Shogakukan practice loss and the summer camp comeback. Later episodes stage the prefectural final that decides the team's future. The passes and counters improve visibly, so skipping ahead hides how Minato relearns trust.
Good to know
Watch episodes one through twelve in order. The team only improves through lost games, with each player's fear revealed in turn. There is no film sequel, since the story closes at prefecturals. New viewers can sample pool matches, yet the final quarter lands better after seeing every practice defeat and memory return.
