Read or Die follows paper master Yomiko Readman as she guards rare books with the British Library. The three episode OVA from 2001 to 2002 sets paper powers, clones and the library split. It ends with Yomiko missing.
R.O.D the TV from 2003 to 2004 follows sisters Anita, Michelle and Maggie with Yomiko return across 26 episodes. No new entry has been dated, so the run is closed. Watch the OVA first, then the TV, since the sisters arc assumes the library fall. Fights stand alone per book, but library bonds and paper powers grow from OVA to TV across the run.
