About Shangri-La Frontier
Shangri-La Frontier follows Sunraku, a trash-game fan who dives into a top-tier VRMMO and takes on its unique bosses with skill instead of stats. Season 1 ran twenty-five episodes from October 2023 to March 2024 and adapted his climb from beginner to Lycagon hunter.
Season 2 ran twenty-five more episodes from October 2024 to March 2025 and pushed into the Abyss City and Ctarnidd arcs. A third season of two consecutive cours premieres January 10, 2027 at studio C2C. The adaptation follows the manga forward with no side timelines.
Good to know
Release order is story order, so there is no second list to maintain. Both released seasons are twenty-five episodes and end on clean breaks into the next arc. Season 3 premieres January 10, 2027 across two cours. A Netmarble game adaptation is also slated, but it sits outside this anime list. Start with season 1, since party formation and boss rules carry straight over.
