Shugo Chara follows Amu, a cool seeming girl whose would be selves hatch as Guardian Characters, through school battles with the Guardians and Easter. The anime spans three seasons: the 51 episode original, the 51 episode Doki sequel, and the 25 episode Party encore.
Watch the three seasons in release order. Character hatches and the Humpty Lock plot stack straight through, so Party needs both earlier runs. The manga continues with Encore chapters that the anime skips, keeping them in the notes for readers. Tone stays school comedy with battle framing throughout.
