About SHY
SHY (2023 to 2024) follows Teru Momijiyama, a painfully shy Japanese hero who nearly quits after a failed rescue, then rebuilds her confidence mission by mission. Season 1 adapts her debut against the Amarariruku threat alongside heroes like Stardust and Century. Season 2 raises the stakes as the enemy leader Stigma moves openly and Teru faces combat that tests her resolve.
Watch in broadcast order since confidence and rivalries compound across episodes. Season 1 establishes the hero system and Teru's flame powers. Season 2 pays off the mentor bonds and villain plan. The two-season arc forms one complete rescue story with no films or specials to slot elsewhere.
Good to know
Both seasons run 12 episodes each, so the full story is 24 episodes and easy to finish in a week. Season 1 leans on origin groundwork while season 2 delivers the stronger battles and emotional payoff fans praise. No movie or OVA exists, so the two TV seasons are the entire adaptation. Start at episode 1 and continue straight through for the intended arc.
