About Skip Beat!
Skip Beat ran 25 episodes from October 2008 to March 2009 at Hal Film Maker about Kyoko entering show business after Sho betrayal with acting jobs. The run covers auditions and early roles with Ren tension building.
Extravagant Challenge aired 15 long episodes from December 2011 to April 2012 as a Taiwan Japan co production with Ivy Chen and Super Junior members leading. The manga by Yoshiki Nakamura runs since 2002 past 50 volumes and stays ongoing today. No second anime season or drama season is announced.
Good to know
Watch the 25 episode anime first for the tightest arc from start to finish. The drama retells the same early manga rather than continuing, so it works as an alternate visit after. Both stop far before the ongoing manga, which means no screen version finishes the story at all. Either stands alone without manga homework.
