About Steins;Gate
Rintaro Okabe and the Future Gadget Lab turn a microwave into a time messaging device, then fight to undo the damage across shifting worldlines. White Fox adapted the visual novel as 24 episodes airing April to September 2011.
Later releases add an epilogue OVA (2012), a film set one year after the ending (2013), the alternate episode 23-beta (2015) and the 23-episode Steins;Gate 0 (2018). Release order keeps every reveal in its intended place.
Good to know
Episode 23-beta (Open the Missing Link, aired December 2015) replays episode 23 with one changed choice: Okabe fails to save Kurisu and gives up, which branches into the Steins;Gate 0 timeline. A strict story-order viewing runs episodes 1 to 22, then 23-beta, then all of 0, then original episodes 23 to 24, the OVA and the film. First-timers should still use release order above. The OVA Egoistic Poriomania is a light epilogue and the 0 Valentine's special (2018) is an optional side story.
