About To Be Hero
To Be Hero from 2016 follows Uncle in a body swap comedy across 12 short episodes with a raw Flash style. To Be Heroine from 2018 moves to new lead Yuye Hua in a clothing power world for 12 episodes with a stranger isekai tone. To Be Hero X from 2025 reboots the scale with 24 episodes built around public trust rankings and eleven linked hero arcs.
All three share director Li Haoling and the heroism theme but tell standalone stories in the same city of Guidu. Watch in release order for the full anthology, or start with X since it assumes no prior plot and explains its ranking system from scratch.
Good to know
There is no separate chronological order for To Be Hero worth listing, since each series is standalone and release order is the intended path. To Be Hero X itself tells its 24 episodes out of order on purpose, so watch X in broadcast order first and save timeline guides for a rewatch. A second X season has been discussed but not dated.
