About Uma Musume Pretty Derby
Uma Musume Pretty Derby follows horse girls training at Tracen Academy, with the main TV seasons tracking Special Week, Tokai Teio and Kita Black through successive Classic generations. Seasons 1 through 3 form one continuous school story from 2018 to 2023.
Around that core sit standalone entries with new casts: Road to the Top and Beginning of a New Era cover different generations, and Cinderella Gray follows 1980s star Oguri Cap across twenty-three episodes in 2025. Watch the main seasons first, then take the spinoffs in release order. Comedy shorts can go any time after season 1.
Good to know
The main seasons play straight through in release order, while the films and Cinderella Gray are standalone generational stories that assume you know the racing format. Road to the Top also exists as a 2024 compilation film, but the four-episode ONA is the version to watch. BNW no Chikai, Umayon and Umayuru are comedy side stories for after season 1. No new TV season is dated.
