About Wangan Midnight
Wangan Midnight follows Akio with the Devil Z Datsun against Reina, Kuroki and Tatsuya on the Bayshore route at night. The 2007 series runs 26 episodes from the Z reunion through highway duels with tuner shops and garages. OB Films bases the night runs on Kusunoki manga roads.
The 2009 film extras add side duels outside the TV canon with the same cars. The series ends with the AkioE Reina bond closed and no new TV dated as of September 2026. Watch in release order since Z upgrades and rival returns stack directly.
Good to know
Watch the 2007 series fully before the film extras. The Devil Z bonds only land if you know the Bayshore rules from the series, so skipping breaks the duel setup. Films fit after the run as extras rather than entries. Treat the 26 episodes as complete, since the highway arc ends there and games stay separate.
