About xxxHOLiC
xxxHOLiC follows Watanuki working for witch Yuuko granting wishes for prices with Doumeki and Himawari. Season 1 from 2006 runs 24 episodes through pipe fox and spider arcs, Kei in 2008 runs 13 episodes through Kohane and dream buyers, and Shunmuki plus Ro OVAs to 2011 close the shop fate.
Watch season 1 first since wish price rules stack straight into Kei and OVAs. Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle crosses over twice, best saved between years once both shops are known. No sequel Holic has been dated past Rei manga, which leaves the OVAs as the current end.
Good to know
Release order is wish shop story order with Kei and OVAs as direct bridges. Season 1 sets price equivalent rules slowly through ghost clients, so give it eight episodes. Kei assumes the Yuuko dream absence stakes, which makes skipping costly for shop fate. Treat Ro OVA as the close with the shop inherited by Watanuki and no further Holic pending.
