About Yokohama Kaidashi
Yokohama Kaidashi follows Alpha, an android running Cafe Alpha near Yokosuka after the seas rose and towns thinned to quiet. Quiet Country Cafe arrived in 1998 in two parts about lamps, bikes, mail and night walks in dusk.
Quiet Country Cafe Koharu Biyori followed in 2002 in two more parts about storms, planes, moon viewing and night music in full calm. Ajia-do made both from Hitoshi Ashinano manga, which ran to 2014 with calm close. Watch the 1998 pair then the 2002 pair for the full dusk arc.
Good to know
Watch the 1998 OVA then the 2002 OVA. The manga runs longer with the same slow close and sea calm, so either order inside each pair holds fine. The sea rise stays background throughout, which reads best with no timeline shuffle at all. No new anime has aired since 2003, so the four parts stand complete.
