About DuckTales
DuckTales ran 100 episodes from 1987 to 1990, following Scrooge McDuck and the nephews on treasure hunts from the Treasure of the Golden Suns opener. DuckTales the Movie: Treasure of the Lost Lamp from 1990 slots as a longer adventure in the same continuity with the lamp genie. The show closed with the season 4 run that year.
The 2017 reboot ran three seasons to 2021 with the same setup but a new continuity, new Della Duck arc and serialized finale. It is not a sequel, so the two versions can be watched in either order once you finish one. Darkwing Duck spun from the original's world and stays optional.
Good to know
Watch each continuity straight through. The 1987 series was syndicated out of production order, so follow Disney Plus story order starting with Treasure of the Golden Suns rather than broadcast shuffles. The 1990 film fits mid-series but spoils nothing, so release placement works. The 2017 reboot restarts everything with Webby and Della changed, which is why it sits after the original here instead of interleaved.
