Penrod Pooch, a police station janitor voiced by Scatman Crothers, jumped into a filing cabinet and emerged as a kimono clad crime fighter armed with the Hong Kong Book of Kung Fu, while his cat Spot quietly solved each case. Joe E. Ross played Sergeant Flint and Don Messick voiced Spot.
