About Kim Possible

The series premiered on Disney Channel on June 7, 2002 and ended September 7, 2007 with the one-hour Graduation finale. Four seasons, 87 episodes, and two animated TV movies: A Sitch in Time, three parts that aired together on November 28, 2003, and Kim Possible: So the Drama, three parts that aired together on April 8, 2005.

So the Drama was written as the series finale, and Disney renewed the show because of how well it did. Season 4 opens with Kim and Ron as seniors, still together after the movie, so the intended run puts the movie right before season 4 even though four more season 3 episodes aired after it.

Good to know

Production order and air order disagree in a few places, mainly in season 1, and Wikipedia notes that production order tracks the story best outside season 3. The crossover episode Rufus aired on Lilo & Stitch: The Series on August 26, 2005, and its events sit before So the Drama. The revival reported in January 2023 is dead: co-creator Bob Schooley said in May 2026 it was scrapped.
