About KPop Demon Hunters
KPop Demon Hunters follows girl group Huntrx moonlighting as hunters against Saja Boys. Film 1 (2025) opened June 20, 2025 on Netflix from Sony Pictures Animation with Kang and Appelhans. Sequel was confirmed March 12, 2026 with Kang and Appelhans returning, in development with no premiere date.
The film shares Rumi, Mira and Zoey without recaps. No third film has been announced. Watch film 1 first, then wait on sequel once dated, since the Honmoon seal and the Jinu turn set up the next run. The Honmoon visuals pop best on rewatch.
Good to know
Release order is the only order, with one film released and the next waiting. Film 1 sets the Huntrx idol rules and the Saja glam that sequel will reopen. The March 2026 confirmation came nine months after launch. Treat film 1 as latest released, with sequel confirmed in development but undated. The Saja songs stick after credits.
