About Mighty Mouse
Mighty Mouse began with Terrytoons theatrical shorts from 1942 about the caped mouse saving Pearl Pureheart from Oil Can Harry. The TV runs repackaged the shorts from the 1950s, and Ralph Bakshi's Mighty Mouse: The New Adventures (1987) ran 19 episodes with John Kricfalusi's wilder take. The 1979 Filmation series and the 1988 finale closed the TV eras.
Each version resets the opera-parody rescues with no shared timeline, so the shorts, the series and the reboot all start clean. No new series has been announced, leaving the mouse quiet on screen beyond the classic reruns.
