About Nature Cat
Nature Cat follows Fred, a house cat who becomes Nature Cat outdoors with friends Hal the dog, Squeeks the mouse and Daisy the rabbit. Each episode pairs a backyard mission with a real nature fact about birds, water or soil. The PBS series aired five seasons from 2015 onward.
Early seasons establish the backyard, the ocean and the forest rules. Middle seasons add camping trips and citizen-science projects that reuse earlier terms. Later episodes assume familiarity with migration and erosion basics. The show works standalone, but returning locations like the meadow and the pond gain meaning across visits.
