About Balamory
Balamory ran 4 series from September 9, 2002 to 2005 on CBeebies set on a Scottish island with Miss Hoolie's nursery. Series 1 introduces Archie the inventor, PC Plum and Josie Jump. Later series rotate the What's the Story segments by house color with new songs. The show counts 254 episodes plus live tours.
No revival series has aired, though reruns continue. Each episode follows one resident's job day with a song. The four runs form one island map with a firm end in 2005. The Tobermory colors pop on every disc set released.
Good to know
Broadcast order keeps house colors and job songs straight for young viewers. Series 1 sets every resident, later series assume them. Episode order inside a series barely matters beyond song repeats. The live shows work as extras after Series 4. With no new run dated, the 2005 closer ends the island at four.
