About Splash and Bubbles
Splash and Bubbles follows Splash, a yellow fusilier fish, and his pufferfish friend Bubbles as they explore coral reefs with Dunk the pufferfish and Ripple the seahorse. Each episode introduces a real ocean creature and ends with a documentary short about that animal. The PBS series aired one season from 2016 to 2018.
The season builds a loose map of Reeftown locations that return in later episodes, from the kelp forest to the open ocean cleaning station. Holiday specials about migration and reef celebrations were designed to air mid-run and reference friends met earlier. Watching out of order still works, but newcomers catch the returning jokes faster in sequence.
