About Asheron's Call
Asheron Call launched November 1999 on Dereth with skill based progression and monthly events. Dark Majesty (2001) added Marae Lassel housing, towns and treasures as the first expansion.
Throne of Destiny (2005) added Viamontian race, level cap lift and Sanamar with new monsters and dungeons. Monthly patches ran to January 2017 shutdown after Turbine handoff. Play in release order, since each pack assumes prior towns and augmentation systems. Emulator projects now host community servers after official close.
Good to know
Release order tracks Dereth growth from 1999 to 2005 without blocking lapsed players. Start with the base for skill temples that teach tinkering. Add Dark Majesty for housing and storage, then Throne of Destiny for Viamontians last. The live service is complete at 2017 shutdown, with emulators carrying unofficial play after.
