Pony Island arrived in 2016 as an arcade trap with devil messages. The Hex followed in 2018 with genre tavern murders. Inscryption opened October 19, 2021 with cabin card horror that shifts genres mid-run.
Pony Island 2: Panda Circus was announced at the Game Awards in December 2023 for April 27, 2027 on PC with private beta phases. No other sequel fits. Play Pony Island first, then Hex, then Inscryption, then Panda Circus once it ships. Each hides systems behind the shown game. The card layer ties them together.
Good to know
These are standalone meta games with no shared continuity beyond creator tricks, so release order is the design climb. Pony Island teaches fake menus. Hex teaches genre swaps. Inscryption combines both at longer length. Pony Island 2 holds a locked April 27, 2027 PC date, so it sits last with its year. Update once the beta opens wide.
