About Dino Crisis
Dino Crisis began with Capcom's 1999 survival horror about Regina hunting Dr. Kirk through Third Energy dinosaurs on Ibis Island. The sequel (2000) moves Dylan and Regina to a jungle facility a year later with heavier action. Dino Stalker (2002) bridges as a guncon spinoff, and Dino Crisis 3 (2003) jumps to the Ozymandias ship in space with new leads.
Capcom has not dated a revival as of 2026 despite fan demand every showcase season, leaving the space entry as the awkward endpoint. The Regina games share the Third Energy lore while the third entry resets with mixed reception.
Good to know
Play the first two in release order, since the Kirk research and the Regina-Dylan partnership assume both games fully. The third game works as a curiosity after with its space setting and new cast aboard the ship. Dino Stalker fits between as a light-gun extra with no required plot for the main pair's story.
