About Euro Truck
ETS1 launched August 6, 2008 in EU from SCS with Germany runs and used trucks for sale. ETS2 followed October 18, 2012 with Prism3D Europe and single plus multiplayer convoys and WoT jobs for VTC. Steam came January 2013, Linux April 2013, and Mac January 2015 with Retarder.
Map DLCs and patches run to 2026 with 5th top Steam rating in April 2026 for SCS. PS5 and Series ports are listed as TBA with Wishlist now. Play ETS2 now for live hauls, with ETS1 as museum only since jobs moved on to convoys.
Good to know
Release order is the only path, since ETS2 expands ETS1 roads directly. ETS1 needs old builds and plays as museum. ETS2 runs with all map DLC and convoys plus mods for VTC with Iberia and Balkans. The 2026 patches keep routes moving with no sequel dated, only console ports listed as TBA for Xbox and PS5.
