About Fortnite
Fortnite launched in 2017 from Epic with Save the World co op defense plus Battle Royale last stand on one map. Early seasons set building, shield and pass tiers with Jonesy and visitor events each month for squads.
Creative arrived in 2018 with player islands, then Zero Build, OG and Festival modes expanded past 2023 with LEGO and racing fun. Live seasons reset maps yearly with concerts and crossovers. Play Save the World first for base defense, then Battle Royale in release order, then Creative as sandbox. The game stays live with no sequel planned. Start with Save the World for the cleanest entry.
Good to know
Start with Save the World to learn build and husk defense before PvP pressure. Battle Royale seasons assume that building base with edits and boxes. Creative fits last as a free sandbox that reuses all assets. Live events reset yearly, so release order keeps map and pass changes clear. The game stays ongoing with modes added, not replaced, so this trio covers the core path.
