About Frostpunk
Frostpunk builds New London around a heat generator in 2018, with Winterhome and the Last Autumn prequels plus the On the Edge sequel expanding the frost. Each scenario tests order-versus-faith laws to different collapses.
Frostpunk 2 from 2024 jumps thirty years past the Great Storm into faction politics, with Fractured Utopias and Breach of Trust expanding it through 2026. The 1886 remake of the original lands in 2027 on Unreal 5. Play the original scenarios in release order, then the sequel and its DLCs.
Good to know
Release order beats timeline order since the prequels assume the base game's heat and law systems. On the Edge continues the A New Home ending directly. Frostpunk 2 needs the original's storm vocabulary. The 1886 remake adds new laws and mod support. A third sequel DLC codenamed SURGE is planned with no date.
