About Growlanser
Growlanser follows Roland wielders across warring kingdoms with real time tactics and bond driven routes. The 1999 PlayStation original from Career Soft sets the Rosaria war around Carmaine and magic rings. Growlanser II arrived in 2001 with Weinlacht border strife, rival knights and sharper mission ranks, while III from 2001 splits twin worlds under the Dual Darkness plot.
Growlanser V from 2006 shifts to ruined isles, faction faith and arena bouts, and Wayfarer of Time from 2003 uses time travel with branching fates, reaching the west late in 2012 through Atlus. All five share ring lore, timed inputs and friendship endings. Play in release order for steady lore growth and smoother combat changes.

Play in release order. Routes split by bonds and timed choices, so release order is the only stable path and keeps ring powers clear. Wayfarer of Time sits fourth in Japan but reached the west late in 2012, so keep Japan order here and save it for after III. No new entry has appeared since 2009, so the run stands complete with no remake to place.
