About Hazelight

Hazelight Studios builds only mandatory co-op under Josef Fares. A Way Out (2018) breaks Leo and Vincent from prison across a 6 hour split screen run from March 23, 2018. It Takes Two (2021) shrinks divorcing May and Cody into dolls from March 26, 2021 for EA Originals, winning Game of the Year. Split Fiction (2025) splits authors Mio and Zoe across sci fi and fantasy from March 6, 2025.

Each game resets cast and world, with no sequel to place. The studio reuses the Friend Pass, with only one copy needed for two players. New pairs should play in release order to see the co-op verbs grow from drive and shoot to morph and gravity.

Good to know

There is no story order to solve, as no character returns. Release order shows the design jump from linear prison to open dolls to split genres best. It Takes Two needs the most time at 12 plus hours, while A Way Out runs shortest. Treat Split Fiction as latest released, with Hazelight active and no next title dated.
