About Jet Set Radio
Jet Set Radio hit Dreamcast in 2000 as Jet Grind Radio in the US, with cel shaded skaters tagging Tokyo-to. The HD remaster in 2012 brought it to PS3, Xbox 360, PC and Vita. Jet Set Radio Future in 2002 on Xbox retells the same war against the Rokkaku police with new maps.
The GBA remake in 2003 squeezes the formula into isometric view. No Wii game ever released despite pitch stories. Sega announced a reboot at The Game Awards in December 2023 as an open world Tokyo street game, still in development with no date as of September 2026.
Good to know
Future is an alternate retelling, not a sequel, so there is no chronological order to untangle. Play the 2000 original first for the plot, then Future for the remix. The GBA game is optional and the HD port replaces the Dreamcast disc fine. The reboot sits last with a null year until Sega dates it. That slot is ready when news lands.
