Definitive Edition from July 2023 bundles both with Painless mode, campfire talks and new quests on Switch, PlayStation, Xbox and PC. Mobile followed in 2025. The run forces selfish survival picks that scar stats. No new games had been announced as of October 2026.
Good to know
Play First, then Painful, then Joyful in order. The First is short and free, setting Armstrong abuse that Painful assumes. Painful limb choices scar Brad permanently, so weigh party picks. Joyful continues directly as Buddy. The Definitive Edition is the version to buy now. Start at The First, the family horror frames all.
