LISA (2014 to 2023) is Dingaling's bleak Olathe trilogy about fathers, choices and arm loss. Start with LISA: The Painful (2014) for Brad Armstrong's quest and party-sacrifice battles. Continue with LISA: The Joyful (2015) for Buddy's revenge run and faster combat. Close with LISA: Definitive Edition (2023) which bundles both with new scenes and the Painful Joyful frame.
Play in release order because Joyful spoils Painful's ending on its title screen. The Painful teaches the sacrifice systems across 20 plus hours. The Joyful remixes those systems in a shorter ruthless run. Definitive Edition adds quality-of-life fixes and extra story beats.
