About Luigi Mansion
Luigi's Mansion launched September 14, 2001 in Japan on GameCube with the Poltergust 3000 in a single mansion. Dark Moon followed March 2013 on 3DS with five mansions and mission ranks. An arcade version ran in Japan from June 2015.
Luigi's Mansion 3 arrived October 31, 2019 on Switch with the Last Resort hotel and Gooigi co op, passing 14 million. Luigi's Mansion 2 HD ported Dark Moon on June 27, 2024. No fourth entry is announced. Play in release order to feel the vacuum and flashlight tools grow.
Good to know
There is no shared story order since scares reset per hotel. Release order shows the mansion design grow from one house to five to a tall hotel. Dark Moon missions suit handheld bursts while 3 suits couch co op. The 3DS remake of the original and arcade spin sit as extras. The series waits on a fourth game with no date.
