Red Hook opened with Darkest Dungeon in 2016 crawling the Hamlet with stress bars. Darkest Dungeon II followed in 2023 driving a stagecoach up the mountain with relationships.
Both games run on torchlight and dread with thin plots on purpose. The plots never link, but the grind rhymes in quirks and deaths.
