About Resistance
Resistance opens with Hale fighting the 1951 Chimera invasion of Britain in Fall of Man from 2006. Retribution from 2009 follows Grayson across Europe in the same year on PSP, and Resistance 2 from 2008 jumps to a 1953 America with Hale's squad.
Resistance 3 from 2011 closes with Capelli years later in 1957, and Burning Skies from 2012 runs a concurrent East Coast story on Vita. The series is PlayStation-only and dormant since 2012 with servers long shut. Play in release order with Retribution bridging the first two.
Good to know
Release order works even though Retribution and Burning Skies run concurrent with the main invasions. A fourth game pitch was rejected and the studio has moved on, so this five-game list is complete. Online support ended in 2014, leaving the campaigns as the whole experience. Start with Fall of Man for Hale's outbreak that everything references.
