About Ridge Racer
Ridge Racer started October 1993 in arcades with PS port in 1994. Revolution in 1995, Rage Racer in 1996 and Type 4 in 1998 built PlayStation drifting. Rave Racer in 1995 stayed arcade only.
64 in 2000, V in 2000, 6 in 2005 and 7 in 2006 carried consoles, with PSP, DS, 3DS and Vita ports between. Unbounded in 2012 from Bugbear adds combat as the last console entry. Draw and Drift in 2016 on phones is the latest overall. No new game has been announced as of September 2026. Play in release order.
Good to know
There is no story order for Ridge Racer. Every game resets Ridge City tracks, so release order is the only list. Rave Racer and Pocket Racer are arcade extras you can skip. Unbounded plays different with crashes, so treat it as a spinoff after 7. The series is dormant since 2016 with no new arcade or console entry.
