About Senran Kagura
Senran Kagura from Tamsoft and Marvelous started September 22, 2011 on 3DS as Skirting Shadows, a side scrolling fighter about Hanzo and Hebijo ninja schools. Burst in 2012 expanded it, Shinovi Versus moved to full 3D on Vita February 28, 2013, Deep Crimson returned to 3DS in 2014 and Estival Versus hit March 26, 2015.
Peach Beach Splash in 2017 switched to water guns, Burst Re:Newal in 2018 remade the original and Peach Ball in 2019 went pinball. The anime Ninja Flash in 2013 and Shinovi Master in 2018 follow the games loosely. Shinovi Nexus was announced August 1, 2026 for mobile.
Good to know
Story order follows release order for the main line: Burst, Shinovi Versus, Deep Crimson, Estival Versus, then Peach Beach Splash. Bon Appetit rhythm spinoff and Reflexions can be skipped without missing plot. Start with Burst Re:Newal for modern controls, then Shinovi Versus. The crossover Neptunia x Senran Kagura from 2021 is a side story. Expect fan service heavy combat and short visual novel chapters between missions.
