About Shadowrun
Shadowrun adapts the tabletop world as turn based tactics from Harebrained Schemes. Returns from 2013 covers the Seattle murder trail, Dragonfall from 2014 moves to Berlin around Feuerschwinge with Director's Cut extras, and Hong Kong from 2015 adds the Extended shadows campaign. Paradox bundles the three as the Trilogy.
Each game tells its own runner story with created crews, so any order works for plot. Release order shows systems growing from basic to Hong Kong's squad depth. Play the Director's Cut and Extended versions as definitive.
Good to know
Play Returns, then Dragonfall, then Hong Kong for the smoothest systems ramp across years. The Director's Cut and Extended Edition contain the base campaigns with bonus hours included. Each crew stands alone, so order is about mechanics. No fourth Harebrained game has been announced, so Hong Kong is the endpoint.
