About Shinobido
Shinobido: Way of the Ninja arrived November 2005 on PS2 from Acquire with amnesiac Goh picking lords in Utakata. Shinobido Tales, sold as Honnoji in Japan, followed in 2006 on PSP with shorter missions. Shinobido 2: Tales of the Ninja arrived 2007 on PSP and Vita with Asuka leads.
The three share stealth, gardening and trust systems from the Tenchu team. No fourth entry has been made. Each stands alone with a new season in Utakata, but mechanics build in order. The trust meters shift endings in every run through Utakata.
Good to know
Release order matches the system growth from PS2 to PSP. Tales works as a mission pack after the debut, not before. Shinobido 2 restarts with new students and plays best last. With Acquire moved to Way of Samurai and Tenchu quiet, the 2007 entry closes the line. All three support stealth without required prior saves.
