About Slay the Spire
Slay the Spire (2019) climbs Ironclad, Silent, Defect and Watcher to the Heart, opening January 23, 2019 for PC from Mega Crit after early access November 2017. Slay the Spire 2 entered early access March 5, 2026 with new Necrobinder and expected 1 to 2 years EA after announcement April 10, 2024 at Triple-I, delayed from planned 2025.
The sequel reuses energy, relics and Act bosses without reteaching drafts. No full 1.0 date has been set. Play base to Heart first, then try Spire 2 EA once you clear Ascension 10, since new cards assume base synergies.
Good to know
Release order matches skill order, with Spire 2 tuning for base veterans. Do not start with the sequel EA, since balance patches wipe and cards shift weekly. The base runs best with Ironclad first before Silent poison. Treat Spire 2 full 1.0 as undated, with EA expected through 2027. The Heart kill needs Ascension practice.
